First of all, I bought this at best buy,paid 329.98 with tax added. It is very thin for a budget laptop. Yes its made out of the same hard crappy plastic all american car interiors had a few years back, yes it doesn't have the fastest processor, and can get dirty but you have to remember that you're not paying much.

Yes its made out of the same hard crappy plastic all american car interiors had a few years back, yes it doesn't have the fastest processor, and can get dirty but you have to remember that you're not paying much.With that out the way, its a pretty awesome laptop. Using the blue tooth, I can hook up my phone to the laptop and play music from my phone using the speakers on my laptop, no cables necessary. I can be in another room and start playing music on my laptop. It has two usb 3.0 ports so putting music/videos into my phone is fast. While it doesnt have the most powerful processor it's not slow. Windows8 is made to run smooth on even budget laptop (though it might get sluggish from time to time for the most part its really fast.
Using the built in HDMI port I connected the laptop to my 55inch 1080p hd tv and using an app called WIFI Mouse HD, i could use my phone as a mouse and keyboard on a 55in tv. The fan is super quiet as well.
The Laptop comes with something called WAVES MAXXAUDIO which is supposed to make movies and games and music sound "extra sweet" what it really does is make the sound reach further away but makes the sound sound tinny. Not really that great. Battery isn't bad nor good. The Web Camera is also not good nor bad,
Overall, this is the best laptop to buy for the price. I recommend you buy it Best buy ans save yourself 100$.

If your looking for a reasonable price for a laptop look no further. I purchased this for my son who needed only to update his resume. It doesn't state that it is equipped with a CD drive but it is. Nice little bonus for a entry level laptop. As far as the windows 8 comments are concerned, get over it's not that difficult to adjust to. Some people just hate change.

I am still getting used to it but I love the keypad on it and that fact that it does not overheat. It never gets hot on the bottom, which I am not used to with past laptops I have owned. Well done Dell!

Totally met my expectations. It's fast, lightweight, great battery life. Windows 8 is actually not so bad after you get used to it. It was a little uncomfortable at first because it was new to me but after using it for about a month, I actually like it better then windows 7

Light in weight and only 1 inch...very thin. It has all the basic programs plus a full keyboard!! The only thing missing is a case to tote it around.

If you are on a budget buy this lap top. I read some reviews that almost three me off. If you have a strong wi fi connection you will be fine. Computer does everything you need it to do and more. Hated Windows 8 when I got it but I'm getting used to it. It's actually better than Windows 7 you just need to personalize it for yourself the best way possible. It's worth more than its priced for especially in Best Buy.

Wow. The Dell Inspiron Laptop just blew my mind! For the price, I thought it was going to be some bulky heavy laptop, but NO, It's as slim, as lightweight and as sleek as any laptop of its size can be! For $299.99, It's a great bargain and I simply love it!

I buy many Dell products. I was impressed with this feature rich Laptop. I noticed that a slower processor was used, but in use, I didn't notice any lack of speed. And the price was fantastic. Just cost me another $100 to upgrade it to Windows 8 Pro. Definitely recommend this to anyone.
